PeopleTec is looking to hire a Systems Administrator to work in a government Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) lab and will support the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. 

This position will involve the support of integration, checkout, and testing. Tests will be performed for a variety of activities using Objective Stimulation Framework (OSF) and/or Single Stimulation Framework (SSF).  The candidate must be able to install and configure OSF/SFF in compliance with program instructions, to ensure functionality between GMD elements, and documenting configurations and results within the HWIL lab. Candidate must be able to operate OSF/SFF systems for in-house test activities and will produce test reports as needed. The candidate will also develop scenarios and convert threats to support specific test requirements. The candidate can expect to be responsible for analysis, definition, design, and development of new system requirements, determine specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility for the system, coordinate design and integration of subsystems, and Identify program support deficiencies and resolve them


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in system design.
  • Experience with, configuration and setup of framework software.
  • Experience performing benchmark tests, and troubleshooting Hardware/Software (HW/SW) integration anomalies.
  • Experience with HW/SW integration in an HWIL lab and have working knowledge of UNIX and Linux
  • Background in software testing and experience in the development of software test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Candidate must be a self-motivated, have strong communication skills, and be able to work in a team environment.

  • A Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this clearance level during their employment.


Educational Requirements:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Information Systems, Engineering, etc. is preferred, however 6 years of applicable experience may be substituted for degree.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with DoD Ballistic Missile Defense System programs and operational knowledge of the GMD program.
  • Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience supporting Pre-Flight/Ground testing in a System Test Labs environment.
  • Systems Administration Experience and certifications are not required but are highly desirable. (Certifications such as Security +, Network+ Linux/Redhat are a plus).
