PeopleTec is currently seeking a Reliability / Powerplant Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Candidate will provide technical, liaison and program management services for the ATE PO T55 branch Provide technical analyses, program management services and fiscal management for T55 Component Improvement Programs Serves as Propulsion systems analyst. Prepare Statement of Work and Requests for Information papers for future engine projects. Provide assistance to T55 Engine Lead on all T55 related engine projects Review and advise ATE PO on Changes in Design, Engineering Change Proposals and maintenance procedures as they relate to the powerplant system of the Chinook helicopter. Review and advise ATE PO on technical manual changes, Safety of Flight Messages (SOFMs), Aviation Safety Action Messages (ASAMs), and Maintenance Information Messages (MIM's). Provide interface and liaison between the Aviation Engineering Directorate and the Program Manager's Office. Provide technical expertise in the inspection of engine parts and recommend parts for rework to save the program manufacturing and procurement costs. Provide technical expertise in the inspection of engine parts and troubleshooting of engine issues.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in a related field. 
  • Knowledge of Chinook helicopter and its propulsion system, drive system, subsystems and components.
  • Experience in aviation project management.
  • Experience in Program Management, knowledge of contract actions/SOWs/CDRLs and Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Travel: 25%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a relate field and 6-10 years of experience is required. 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to manage complex developmental and engineering projects, work effectively with others and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to research, report and troubleshoot propulsion/engine related issues.
